Dan Burawa, right hand pitcher; Daniel Castro, infielder; and Brandon Cunniff, right hand pitcher, were recalled from Gwinnett also. I think Burawa and Cunniff are going to the bullpen to be relief pitchers.

Mike Foltynewicz is out with fever and viral symptoms.

Default Game #132 (2015-09-01, 19:10): Marlins 7, Braves 1

The Braves failed to produce enough runs as they fell to the Marlins 7-1. Their losing skid hits seven.

Despite the score, I saw several players make good plays. Daniel Burawa, Daniel Castro, Sugar Ray Marimon, and Hector Olivera looked good knowing they are progressing.

In regards to the Marlins, Justin Nicolino had a good game. Justin Bour had a good bat for his three run home run in the seventh inning.

Folty actually was diagnosed with chostocondritis. Could be serious and could take him a while to rehab from this.

Default Game #133 (2015-09-02, 12:10): Marlins 7, Braves 3

Williams Perez and the Braves continue their skids. The Braves extend their losing streak to eight with a 7-3 loss against the Marlins, and are swept for the second consecutive series. Perez (4-6) continues to decline by giving up nine hits, allowing six runs with four earned and one home run, and allowing one base on balls in five innings.

Reaction:
I question the decision to recall Perez, or to put him in the starting rotation. He is not getting the job done, and was sent to Gwinnett for that reason. Unfortunately, Foltynewicz's health issues had the Braves recall Perez on an emergency basis.

As of today, we sit as the second worst team in baseball (behind the Phillies) and would have the #2 draft pick. With the way we're playing, and the way Fredi is managing, we will be a 100 loss team and be guaranteed that top pick.

Bill Shanks has written a number of articles in recent weeks that seem to support firing Fredi and hiring a better manager. I am guessing that Bobby Cox is probably the person that might save Fredi's job, as the front office might keep Fredi around just to keep from offending Bobby. That would be the wrong move but I think it is absolutely possible.

Somebody please - PUT A FORK IN THIS TEAM - THEY ARE DONE!

It wasn't bad enough we got beat 20 something to hardly anything over the weekend... but to get beat like a drum AGAIN yesterday????

I've been a fan for years - I knew a lot of the players personally in the 90's run - this team sucks....

Default Game #134 (2015-09-03, 19:05): Nationals 15, Braves 1

Matt Wisler earned his ticket for an assignment to the minor leagues. He gave up five hits, allowed seven earned runs, gave up three bases on balls, and completed one strikeout through one and two-thirds innings before being pulled. He fell to 5-6 for the season as the Braves (54-80) fell to the Nationals 15-1.

Bryce Harper had a good night for the Nationals going hitless and scoring four runs.
