The Braves have clear issues in pitching and hitting. Acquiring hitters in the offseason should be an objective. I think greater emphasis should be in the evaluation of pitchers. Several pitchers have started the season in the right direction, but fell out of favor. The bullpen is not reliable.

Default Game #135 (2015-09-03, 19:05): Nationals 5, Braves 2; Ten Innings

Ten and counting, the Braves' losing skid continues. What was a 2-1 lead in the middle of the ninth inning fell apart quickly, and became another loss. The bullpen was not dependable again.

Default Game #136 (2015-09-05, 19:05): Braves at Nationals

Shelby Miller's winless streak is at 19. Will that continue against the Nationals?

Record: 54-81
Standing: Fourth, National League East Division (20.0 games behind New York Mets)

Washington Nationals:
Record: 69-65
Standing: Second, National League East Division (6.5 games behind New York Mets)

Starting pitchers:
Braves: Shelby Miller (5-12, 2.56 earned run average, 147 strikeouts)
Nationals: Gio Gonzalez (9-7, 4.13 earned run average, 127 strikeouts)

Default Game #136 (2015-09-05, 19:05): Nationals 8, Braves 2

Add one to the Braves and Miller's dubious streaks. Miller did not pitch well in the Braves' 8-2 loss against the Nationals.

Harang struggled for the Braves in 2014. While he has struggled for the Phillies this season, Harang has two wins in three starts against the Braves.

Perez started off great before getting injured. Since returning from injury, he has been disastrous to the point he was assigned to Gwinnett. He was recalled when Mike Foltynewicz got sick.
