This is a series we should be losing. I'm glad the streak of 12 straight is over, but we need to lose to the Phillies to get the 1st overall pick. If we're going to lose, we might as well tank hard!

Danny Burawa should have had a learning experience after allowing three earned runs in the eighth inning.

Ryan Weber, despite taking the loss, had some positive reviews.

Wow.

Clash of the Titans.

I note that these two teams are also in an epic battle for the honor of the worst run differential in all MLB. The Braves are at -177 while the Phillies are right behind at -176. A Phillie loss today and they will be no worse than tied with the Braves.

Another disheartening win in the race for 1st in the reverse standings.

Manny Banuelos is having more issues with his elbow. He's almost certainly done for the year, as there is no need to risk him in the final weeks of the season. I hope that it is nothing serious but it is pretty concerning, as he is scheduled to visit Dr. James Andrews. That is pretty much never a good sign.

Is Banuelos' case similar to Kris Medlen? Medlen's elbow issue progressed to Tommy John, ending his 2014 season and his tenure with the Braves.
