Default Game 142 (10 September 2017 - 13:35): Miami Marlins at Atlanta Braves

The Braves are finding ways to win in clutch situations. A win is a win, but inconsistency remains a problem.

Matt Wisler provided another legitimate reason why he has no future with the Braves. Without the Braves going clutch at bat, Wisler's bad pitching and spotting two runs would have the team losing the game.

Thanks to the Lane Adams home run, the Nationals won the division. Would be funny if Adams got a standing ovation at Nats Park if and when he plays in this 3 game series.

With the Braves eliminated from postseason contention, now is the time for them to play members from Gwinnett who will be with Atlanta permanently in 2018.

Default Game 143 (12 September 2017 - 19:05): Atlanta Braves at Washington Nationals

Julio Teherán is pitching for the Braves today. He has trended upward in his recent starts. The Braves are on a three-game win streak. Both can continue trending upward with a win, or they could lose the game with Teherán reverting back to bad pitching and the Braves not hitting balls with bats for base hits and runs.

Recap from the Nats thread:

"Braves 8 @ Nats 0. This one was all Braves. Matt Kemp had a 2 out RBI single in the first, and following a walk to Ender Inciarte and a single from Ozzie Albies, Freeman had a 3 run homer to make it 4-0 in the 3rd. Inciarte would have a 2 out RBI double in the 5th to make it 5-0. Following a 2 out double to Dansby Swanson, Julio Teheran would help himself driving in Swanson for the 6th run, Albies lead off the 7th with a home run for a 7-0 lead, and the Braves would cap the scoring on the evening with 2 doubles later on in the inning for the 8th and final run.

Gio Gonzalez (14-7) allowed 5 runs on 7 hits (1 homer) with 1 walk and 8 strikeouts, while Teheran (11-11) pitched 7 strong shutout innings with 7 hits allowed, 2 walks, and 5 strikeouts. Game 2 of the series on Wednesday. Luiz Gohara (0-1, 13.50) is the scheduled starter for the Braves while the Nats hand the ball to Max Scherzer (14-5, 2.32). Game time scheduled for 7:05}
