Well, they did sweep Houston but Houston is not playing well either. The Nats are decent so far so I'll see how they do against them.

I can't beleive that we're at the level where beating the Nats would be considered a major accomplishment.

It's sort of hard to believe that ATL is only 3 games back (especially after that bad stretch).

Shouldn't be that hard to believe, the season is only one month old.

Losing 9 straight and looking weak out there is still fresh with me and I guess that being 3 back is pretty good...the gap could have been worse. I really talked this team up around some friends so I was a little frustrated with the team's performance during Apr 21st-Apr 29th because I don't think the team can comeback from being 7 or 8 games back. Anyway, they look sturdy again.

Braves fans, what do y'all think right now? In all my 24 years alive, I don't remember this team looking like this (6th time they've been shutout in 29 games).

Well, since I'm only 13, I've only followed the Braves while they've never won the division. However, even at that time when people thought that was bad, this is even worse. At least we could have streaky hitting at the minimum, compared to 0 now. This lack of offense also demoralizes the pitchers, which is causing them to not pitch as well as we've seen them do.

however, they usually still keep us in games, at least until it's the offense's turn.

i mean really!?! we just got shutout and 2-hitted by a 47 year old pitcher!

Atlanta is now 16-18 after sweeping the Brewers. Moving up to the 3rd spot from 6th has been rewarding because they're actually scoring (28 runs in 3 games).

McLouth (CF)
Prado (2B)
Heyward (RF
McCann (C)
Glaus (1b
Hinske (LF)
Infante (SS)
Conrad (3rd)
The Pitcher

I actually like Hinske better than Melky right now but we have to use him (I wish they give him back to NY). This line-up is pretty good, I like it (#10's one of my favorites but we don't need him).

They should put Melky in the Homer costume and let him get peanuts and beer thrown at him all day....That was the worst move ever...did they actually think Melky would produce?????

Yankee hype and I rationalized that he'd be great before the season started. I should have know though, outside of Jeter and a few others, they don't have anyone all that good in their farm system(Venditte is a novelty). They should put Melky in one of these (outside TF) whenever he stinks it up:
