Thanks for the info, but it doesn't show the tops of all of the caps clearly enough to tell if they have halos or not. All I can tell for sure is that the 1961-1965 caps had them.

1993-1996 was the best.

I think they had halos in all of their main logos.

I believe it was from 1961 to 1970.

Default Why no Angels on local TV this am?

The Los Angeles Angels Full 2018 TV schedule for Fox Sports West shows a 9:30 broadcast this morning from Toronto but I see a soccer game instead. Why? Thank you.

Commissioner Rob Manfred's genius idea to open up the game to the new "millennial" and put 1 weekday afternoon game exclusively on Facebook Live; this Angels/Jays game is this week's "facebook live" game.

No Angels?

Clearly the work of Satan.

I couldn't find an official thread for this team so I created one by merging about 13 old threads into one.

So, in today's news the Angels have hired 71-year-old Ron Washington to a 2-year deal, becoming the fifth manager of the team since 2018.

Some excerpts:

Quote:
Washington, 71, has long hoped to get another managing opportunity. He resigned from the Texas Rangers in 2014, citing personal reasons. He led Texas to back-to-back World Series appearances in 2010 and 2011.

Washington spent the last seven years as the third-base coach for the Braves and was a popular figure in Atlanta. He also was a coach for the Oakland Athletics following his departure from Texas.

Angels general manager Perry Minasian has extensive experience working with Washington. Minasian was in the Braves front office through the 2020 season. He was also a scout with the Rangers during part of Washington’s tenure in Texas.

Washington is the fifth manager for the Angels since 2018, as owner Arte Moreno has cycled through the position numerous times following unsuccessful tenures. Moreno had the ultimate say in this hire.

So Washington was in Oakland around 2002 & came back? I think many people always can remember him easily because of the Moneyball movie.
