There were a lot of early articles about his status. I think the biggest reason was the high amount of hit and runs we get here in S Cal by Illegals.

I usually stay out of these discussions, but, I have to say that I think that it is totally disgusting how the OP would try to use this poor young man's death to advance a personal agenda.

Please close this thread. We already have a local and baseball forum thread on this tragedy. Nothing good can come out of this thread.

Default Fister, Mariners edge Angels

Doug Fister went from facing one of the worst teams in the American League to facing one of the best.
Funny, then, how his quality of performance made the same polar progression from one start to the next.
Fister had the worst outing of his career against the light-hitting Royals on Thursday. But on Tuesday against the Angels, who roughed up the Mariners a night earlier, the rookie right-hander played the part of giant killer.
MOD CUT
It wasn't quite David vs. Goliath. But it was still impressive -- if not surprising -- that Fister, who allowed three home runs to lowly Kansas City in his first big league loss, turned around in his next start and effectively shut down one of the more dangerous lineups in the Majors.

MOD CUT

Default The Red Sox blow a 6-4 lead and get stunned by the Angels 7-6!!, WOW

I say here and watched this game from to start to finish and the Angels have SHOCKED the Boston fans with a amazing comeback when it looked like it was over in the 9th with 2 outs and down 6-4.

Angels are the NEW champions of 2009, put your paycheck on it-lol

I was so impressed because it was easy for them give up the fact that they were up 2-0 and could afford to lose 1 game. Most teams who are down 6-4 with two outs would give up.
