So it's the Tampa Bay (devil) Rays and the Philadelphia Phillies to battle it out for the 2008 World Series. who will win?

Tough call, I'll go with the Phillies in 6. My thinking is that Cole Hamels is the difference.

Im going with Phils in 7, I think the two teams will split the first two games but ultimately Philly will have the upper hand.

I'm excited about this series, I think it's going to be fun to watch and I believe it will go 7 games. I pick the Rays to win it but to me it can go either way and I'll be happy to see either team take it.

Cool Here It Is

Well, I like both, but I'll have to go with Philadelphia to win in 7 games, even though Tampa has home field advantage.

Case's Pick: Phillies in 7

The Phillies are basicy very weak through the lineup. They feasted off weaker teams, but went only 24-22 against contenders and 7-11 interleague. If they can hold a lead late in the game, they are unbeatable, but if they fall behind early, they have no chance.

The Rays can keep coming at you with weapons in their lineup. They have speed, which is an asset on both offense and defense. They have gotten through the jelly-knees, and made the big show. Now they can just go out and play ball. They played well against contenders, 25-18, and were 12-6 interlegue.

Look for the Rays to win, without a lot of trouble, but could be shut down a time or two.

A further comment on what i just said about jelly-knees. Think about this. 50 years from now, the grandkids of thse players will say "My grampa played in the World Series!" Nobody will ask if he won. Playing in the World Series is a huge thing, and now they have gotten there. Who wins or loses is just an asterisk. Now the game just starts being fun. If they lose, they've still been there.

The Ray's 0-2 vs Hamels, 4-0 vs everybody else. Ray's in 6.
