Take the Rangers and Giants

The Rangers won 55.6% of their games this year
The Giants won 56.8% of their games this year

If over the course of 162 games the Giants managed to win 2 more games than the Giants how can anyone say which team will win more games out of 7?
Point taken. Look at this. The Giants finished 92-70...but they were terrible against one team..San Diego, against whom they went only 6-12. If you remove the Padres, the Giants were 86-58...a winning percentage of almost .600

So, really, I don't understand, never did, why few were giving the Giants any chance...

Personally, I'd like to see a Giants/Yankees WS. Then we can really have some fun..
I definitely didn't expect them to get past the Phils but i'm glad they did. It means either a team that has never won it, or a team that hasn't won it in quite some time will. So if it's not my team, I like this end result.

However, one needs to learn from one's mistakes. Don't sell the Giants short.

I think the Rangers just have too much firepower for San Francisco. I know that you'll say:"Look what they did to Philly; they were comparable offensively." I just don't see it. It's not even about SF beating the Braves (I'm past that) but more like Texas beating up on Tampa and just battering New York.

Check this out, this isn't even deep like the stuff that Fili provides but they say enough to me. Texas has faced better competition in Tampa and NY so who is San Francisco? I don't even despise San Fran and I'm all for the NL stepping up but they just faced better players over on that side (they made that Yankee lineup look bad). Texas scores in bunches so San Fran will have to play out of their minds to beat them. What do you think?

If the Phillies had made it to the Series, would not the 97 win team have been favored over the 90 win team?

So why should the 92 win team which beat the 97 win team, not be the favorite?

The Giants beat the Padres where it counted and that was on the last day! This is a surprise team of the year!
