They both ended their season in Washington, DC. The problem for the Brewers is that the Cardinals lasted 2 weeks and 2 rounds longer than the Brewers did.
Do you get a banner for “Wild Card Play-In Game Participant”?

That series was agonizing, glad it's over.
It was like taking a painful crap.
Hope they go further next year.

The main difference is that the Cardinals were embarrassed four times as badly as the Brewers at the hands of the Nationals.

Or that the Cardinals has three postseason wins, and were in the NLCS. Debatable whether the play-in game even really counts as being in the playoffs.

2019 Brewers...like the 2018 Cubs. Thanks for participating!

They have to account for the game stats somehow, and the only choices are regular and post season. It's definitely not one of the 162 regular season games, so that only leaves the post season.

That's something that the California Commission on Self Esteem would endorse. Of course they would probably do away with winners and losers entirely and just give everyone a medal for showing up.

I'll admit, that was tough to watch. Should be an interesting Winter Meetings, but a lot of attention could now be turning to younger players.

This move quietly could pay off big for the Cardinals. Kwang-Hyun Kim could be this coming year's darkhorse.

I'm a Braves fan whoused to be a Cards fan when I lived in STL back in the 70's.

The Braves just picked up Ozuna from you guys.

What did we get?

Why did the Cards let him loose?

What is the inside story on him?

Thx!

I like this team already. Look for Martinez and Kim to get spots in the rotation and Helsley to go the bullpen.
