Here's a list of my 10 favorite unis from the Majors....
  • 10. Oakland A's (current) - This team and the Packers are the only two pro sports teams that can pull this color combo off, IMO.
    9. Minnesota Twins (Current) - Nice that they went back to their old school cursive type for the road jerseys.
    8. Cleveland Indians (1989) - the Major Leauge unis are classics. Still don't really like the logo, though...
    7. Kansas City Royals (1973) - The BEST navy/powder blue uniforms in all of sports....
    6. Houston Astros (current) - The pinstripes may be a bit too much, but I still love em.
    5. Texas Rangers (2006) - I miss the vests with the "T", but the current red alternates almosts makes up for getting rid of it....... almost.
    4. Chicago White Sox (current) - I'm a sucker for black and silver/grey.
    3. Atlanta Braves (current) - Can't go wrong with the tomahawk on the front.
    2. Brooklyn Dodgers (1950) - Jackie Robinson played in these..... enough said.
    1. New York Yankees (current) - I honestly didn't want them to be #1... but c'mon, you knew it was gonna happen.

Personally, I generally dislike any team uni that had their design originate in the '70s, ala Houston Astro's rainbow....

For newer teams, I like the Mariners uni. But, I may be biased.

Tough to go wrong with classics like the Dodgers, Red Sox, Braves, Indians, and that team in pinstripes (ptui!)...

I like the Phillies uniforms....the only thing I would change is to get rid of the cartoon-like number and replace them with block numbers, and I would remove the names on the home uniforms.

I really like the Pirates uniforms.

I also like the Pirate uniforms... I still have fond memories of the uniforms they wore in the 1960 Series. The uniforms got a little 'wacky' in the '70s but today's uniforms are more classic and I think pretty cool!

I even kinda like San Diego's new ones.... but I only had room for 10.

I would say, current top 10:

1. Pirates
2. Red Sox
3. Phillies (just ditch the cartoon font on the numbers)
4. Giants
5. Orioles
6. Dodgers
7. Yankees
8. Mets (minus the ridiculous black jerseys and hats)
9. Tigers
10. Cubs

The current worst:

1. Blue Jays
2. Diamondbacks
3. Padres
4. Rays
5. Brewers
6. Astros - unis are OK, but they need to ditch that goofy looking star on the hat and go back to the old star with the H logo.

Surprisingly enough, I'm going to go along with Go Phillies' observation about the Mets' black jerseys. This trend where teams feel obligated to have additional, black uniforms is just ridiculous.

I'm also going along with Toxic Toast: the Tigers have a nice, clean design that just screams history and tradition. They don't need anything more than that classic "D."
