Well written piece by Grant Hill. He has always been one of my favorite players, he would have had a much higher, and sustained peak if it were not for injuries.

Classy retort. Oh, and Grant Hill would have been one of the greatest players ever if not for the injuries. 3rd favorite player behind Jordan and Pippen in the late 90's.

The fab-5 are morons.

This spotlights the cultural phenomenon in segments of american culture disparaging educational and academic success in favor of sports. I knew a lot of black (and white) scholars in college that *hid* their academic abilities in school as much as possible because they didn't want to picked on, ostracized or even beat up.

When I hear "Uncle Tom", I hear "stop making our stupid a$$e$ look bad".

Hey, if Chris Webber had learned how to count past 2 maybe Michigan wins that game?

Grant Hill overreacted. Jalen Rose expressed his teenage opinions. Duke does in fact recruit players with certain squeaky clean images. Not necessarily based on race but definitely based on class & affluent background.

To be called an Uncle Tom is about one of the most insulting things one black person can say to another. Make so mistake, there were huge racial overtones in that message.

Oh boy, I feel this thread is a giant can of worms....

Grant used the classy way to respond to an insult. The nice way to say FY Jalen.

BTW most if not ALL schools would LOVE to recruit All American caliber kids with clean images.

You know some of the fab-5 attended a private HS very much like "Duke".
What a bunch of hypocrites.

I'm going to chalk this whole thing up to a bunch of punk-a$$ biotches crying because Duke beat them. (And trust me....I generally HATE Duke.)
