sorry but kobe hasnt been prime in 2 years. he hides it well is all.
I didn't suggest that he has been the past 2 years. Kobe's last 'prime' year was probably the 2008-2009 season when the Lakers beat the Magic in the finals.. But now and going forward? Nope....we've seen the best of Kobe Bryant and I don't think the Lakers win another title with him as the centerpiece.
Has anyone seen a game with that kind of shooting like the Mavs just pulled off?. It was like a 3pt shooting drill. I don't think i have seen one like it.
The sports show here keep talking about getting Howard. Why the F would Howard want to come here? Why would Howard leave a team to go to another team thats about just as good. Kobe is getting old and without Kobe, the Lakers aren't much.
If anything, Howard should go to the Clippers more than the Lakers. Blake and Howard > Kobe and Howard
Kobe getting old?-lol He hasn't turn 33 yet. Jason Kidd and Grant Hill is 38 and you talking about Kobe. He has 5 to 6 years left

hmmmm
your comment sure implied (to me) that this was the last year kobe and lebron would both be in their primes.
as for the rest of this post, i completely agree. kobe has taken to much of a toll on his own body by playing hurt, not fixing his finger, playing on a bum ankle, bad knee. kobe could have easily extended his career in dominating fashion had he gotten out of his own way. just let go of that pride a little bit and you will surely extend what it is that gave/gives you that pride in the 1st place.
dont get me wrong he is still a great player but just like duncan the game has/is catching up to him. used to be duncan and kobe could win a game or even a series all by themselves.

hmmmm according to EVERYONE duncan is old, yet he is only 35. he is 2 yrs older then kobe BUT kobe has played more seasons and has a full 84 games more then duncan. (playoff and reg season combined)
he has 4000 minutes more over his career then duncan as well. he has continued to play with injuries which CAN cause more damage then necessary.
he has been playing since he was what 18 yrs old, he has RIDICULOUS wear on his body which while in years he may not be old, in nba wear age he is VERY old. there is a difference.

Well let's put it this way... reasonably close to his prime/at the tail end of his prime/whatever you want to call it. The skills are there, the body isn't able to keep up as before, on a consistent basis.
A younger Kobe would've taken over in that 2nd half today. As far as Duncan, he is a bigger body and plays in a position where he does bang inside. There is alot of wear and tear with that too. The changing of the guard has started.
Kobe isn't old b/c of age, its b/c of miles. He's played 15 STRAIGHT seasons at the 2 guard including playing though tons of injuries and Olympics.....
If Atlanta and Memphis go to the NBA Finals I will be going to the
