Magic Johnson commented on the Lakers' ejections. A very profound clip.

Bynum comment:"No, I'm not disappointed in myself. It is what it is. We got embarrassed tonight, so that's what happened."

Routine? That was not routine...if it was routine, you wouldn't be seeing benches clear like you did. Benches don't clear on routine fouls. This was classless thuggery, period. I didn't think it was possible, but I lost even more respect for the Flakers. Phil needs to retire and get as far away from this team as he can. But the dirtiest team in history? No way.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was Bynum's last game as a Laker. Btw, i heard that Gasol has a trade-kicker clause in his contract that any team trading for him has to pay 8.5mil up front. He can waive it or part of it if he agrees to the trade.

Odom's shot wasn't even cheap, the league, Mavs are all punks so you can't set a hard pick. Bynum was a cheap shot.

Lamar Odom was clearly moving toward Dirk Nowitzki when he hit him, so that wasn't merely a hard pick. I do agree Odom's hit, while intentional, wasn't really out-and-out thuggery like Bynum's foul was. Odom got ejected because things were getting very chippy and tense at that point in the game and he clearly meant to physically run into Nowitzki.

For over 60 years the NBA has had players or teams that at times probably crossed the line between physical play and dirty play, so saying the Lakers are the dirtiest team ever is hyperbole.

I'm guessing you don't remember the tag team of Bill Laimbeer and Rick Mahorn on the late 1980s Pistons, and if anything the mid-to-late 1990s Knicks and Heat were probably worse than the Bad Boys era Pistons.

You say he is....but then post a link saying the case was dismissed... I hate Kobe Bryant as much as anyone, but everyone knows the whole thing was a scam, just another extortion attempt against a pro athlete.

I've seen tape of games from the 80s and this was just a routine play. For the neophyte who started this thread, look at this:

Kevin McHale Clotheslines Kurt Rambis

and you know what? Nobody was thrown out for any of that. Order was restored & folks went to the free throw line. Dallas was up by 30, why are they still shooting 3s after LA conceded?
Rambis got what was coming to him. He was another dirty scumbag LA thug.
The difference was the refs saw a lot of physical back and forth with the Celtics and the Lakers in CLOSE games. When you're down 3-zip in the series and down 30 points in the game it's not a hard physical foul its a fri&&in cheap shot...period. McHale was the recipient of a cheap shot himself by Oakley in the payoffs in 1986. What comes around goes around but today was just thumbsucking by Odumb and Bynumb they should both be thrown off the team but I guess you must like basketball from da hood???

I very well remember the Laimbeer-Mahorn era. Johnny Most the announcer for Boston called them "the hatchet brothers". They were dirty but I never saw a foul as uncalled for as the one Bynum made today. Frustration is one thing . Trying to intentionally wound a player who is kicking the crap out of you is something else. Especially when the guy is 1/2 your size!!! Odom and Bynum are classless LA Thugs and should be suspended for 30 games and fined at least $100,000. If LA didn't promote morons like those two they would send them both down the road as an example of what they DON'T want their team to be . But in LA thuggery is an everyday occurrence. LA is a pit...
