Basketball or any other sport is not that serious of a job. Basketball players are entertainers. They go up and down a court and shoot a basketball; they're not performing anything life changing. Not sure why professional athletes are held to such god-like status.

Even benchwarmers make a lot of money for doing ****.

They are messing up...I think I've only spoken to one person sad the season has not started. Most NBA fans I know don't care or haven't thought about it much. Seems many of us were more excited during the offseason. Now that the season has technically started who cares.

Screw them.....

Most NBA fans I know are upset that the season is in jeopardy. There is no way any real NBA fan is shrugging their shoulders at this.

Agree.

It just hasn't hit some hard yet because they still have football.

Wait until February when it's crappy outside and the only thing on is College ball.

Luke Walton, Mr. Laker Benchwarmer himself, made more money last season than his Dad, Bill Walton, one of the greatest centers ever, in Bill's ENTIRE CAREER.

Yeah, old luke had something like a 5year 25mil deal with the Lakers. I think he saw maybe 90minutes of on-court time.

He is the walking salary cap killer and has a year left on his contract.

I must say, it's kind of amusing watching the owners take such a self-righteous position. They were the ones who offered those outlandish contracts to the players in the first place.

If I say I won't play for your team unless you pay me $90 million over the next five years...and you give me that money, your expenses going through the roof aren't my problem.
