Poor Greg, correct me if I am wrong, did the Blazers sign him to a 1 year deal? I thought it was a stupid move and should let him go and I was right, Greg needs to hang it up, his health is more important than basketball

The same thing happened to former Cavaliers player Žydrūnas Ilgauskas, where he basically played a total of like 28 games in almost 3.5 season due to severe foot injuries, which is much more then Oden has played in 3 years, but still missed a significant amount of time in a few season. He ended up having a very good and solid career with the Cavaliers, so hopefully the same is possible for Oden. However, I really wouldn't be surprised if he just hangs it up here sooner or later. How many teams are going to continue to pay him know these injuries? I was shocked he got a one year deal in this past off season. I bet the Blazers look at Kevin Durant and wonder "WHY!?!"

The guy had so much potential. What a shame for those trailblazers. Knees took down Roy and Oden. Ouch!

Any team would be dumb to pick him up when his contract ends.

At his age I think a team needing a big next year could/should take a chance on him for a minimum contract. I would love to see the spurs get the guy (depending on surgery outcome) for what they are paying Gary Neal or Blair. If he doesn't pan out well they are not out a mil, if it works for 15-20 minutes per game then they get a beast for 20 minutes on Blair money.

The Blazers should have drafted Durant, it reminds me of drafting Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan all over again but the Blazers had drafted Clyde Drexler the year before so hard to fault the Blazers for drafting Sam Bowe over Michael Jordan but if they did not draft Clyde, I am sure they would have drafted Michael Jordan. I am glad I am not a Blazers fan but I feel bad for Greg, fans, and the organization
