*58 games in regular season (1 home and 1 away game against each team)
*No conferences and divisions
*Top 16 teams go to playoffs
*Best of 5 series in 1st round of playoffs
*All non-playoff teams have equal chance of getting top pick in draft lottery

This will make the regular season way more exciting and the playoffs more fair imo.
You will see less players sitting out games and less teams throwing games.

Have 4 referees instead of 3, and have 1 head referee on the table sitting down with 2 computer people with 2 computers, looking at fouls and missed calls, and the head referee can instantly overturn a call or make a right call through walkie talkie with the other refs.

That would be good. I think all major sports do not utilize the technology that they have right there. In baseball balls and strikes should be called via video evidence not umpires. Nothing worse than your team losing a big game because the refs screwed up and nothing was done about it.

As far as cutting the season by 30%. That is a huge loss of revenue. Never happening. And it screws up all the records that would never be broken if you make the seasons shorter.

The home team can sub in an alligator for one of their players. The alligator is immune to the 3-second rule, so it can be trained to hang out in the paint on the defensive end.

Refs will have a limit on the number of fouls they can call during the season (fouls per minute statistic). When they exceed this, they have to wear an actual blindfold for 3 games.

If neither team has scored 80 points at the end of the 3rd quarter, the team mascots must do battle with jousting lances on trapeze above the court until one of the teams reaches 100 points.

Yeah, it sucks when the refs made a bad call, but are continuing to point at a player for a foul or whatever, while the whole world looks at the slo motion of tue play and cant do anything about it, and the game continues.

As far as shortening the season, it can happen, but players contracts will be smaller, so its a no go. Players would much rather make 20 million a season playing 51 of 82 games due to injury, than just playing 51 games with or without injury, ans making 14 million.

And with the NBA you have ESPN and TNT who have contracts with the NBA. The NBA is all about expanding what they do. They are now about courting the Saudi's and their sovereign wealth fund. They have no interest in shrinking things.

Also players want their numbers. If its less games per season, all the points totals, rebounds, assists, triple doubles, etc will become unreachable. Lebron would have never catch up with kareem, etc.

Sports have changed in the past, not every record has to be in reach.

Everything is about money and not the actual sport?
I don't think so, players can play at 100% instead of 70 if they only need to play 2 games per week with no back-to-back games instead of 3-4 with 14 back-to-back games in a season.
Not every record has to be broken anyway, main goal should be winning the championship.

I don't see how it's fair how some teams need to play against a top team 4 times in a season, while others only have to do that 2 times.
