Bwahahahahhaa ... sorry. You can add Jimmer Fredette in there too. And Danny Ferry. And Cherokee Parks.
and what are they doing now? that is an pathetic list that you even think they deserve high media attention. Jimmer was all over college highlights when he was doing **** in BYU. Now he is a Sacramento King doing absolutely nothing right now.
Interesting article although I really don't agree with a lot of it. One thing I do agree with is that Manu's game is nice but I think saying he hasn't gotten attention because he hasn't gotten the so-called "black co-sign" isn't accruate. There have been plenty of players both white and black who ball and haven't gotten the endorsements and attention they deserve. Manu is also an unselfish player and he has never been an attention seeker. I have and still am a fan of his game.
I liked Ginobili more when he had long hair and was slightly reckless. But he's still okay. As long as he isn't playing against the Lakers he's cool in my book lol that goes for his teammates too most of the time. Not too many guys on that squad that you can really dislike. Rare these days.
Here's a thought. Maybe Manu Ginobli hasn't gotten "more attention" because he plays for the Spurs. That team doesn't exactly scream, "look at us!" They are a notoriously tight lipped organization and do not court media hype. If Manu played in Dallas with Cuban he'd probably be more of a household name. Tony Parker is a Finals MVP and was married to Eva Longoria. And he still doesn't get the kind of hype LeBron or even Carmelo gets. That is just not the Spurs way.
