Also, it's sort of a conundrum. If the US really does put it's best players on the USA team, it's a no contest - so it really isn't that interesting - not a test. If the US doesn't put out it's best players, then it is also not that interesting because it isn't too meaningful. (What would have happened if Walton had played in Munich in 72?)

Spain lost many times in Eurobasket. The team is very vulnerable and only the luck provides them to go in quarterfinals i.e. Latvia lost by Belgium. I don`t think that Spain can beat USA.
