Tyson Chandler was the second overall pick in the 2001 draft. He was largely considered a bust after his stint with the Bulls. It wasn't until he landed in NO that he became known as the guy who finished alley oops from Chris Paul and started to build a reputation as a defensive stopper. Dalembert isn't the greatest center ever, but he's serviceable and can do the same things Chandler can do at a much lower price for the Mavs.
Dalembert put up solid numbers when he was in Philly. To the casual NBA fan they think he's Kwame Brown.
As for current stats, Chandler's gotta come back from injury first before we can make a more accurate comparison.
