Dunn and Wendell Carter Jr are the backbone of the Bulls defense, however the team as a whole has not be overly impressive on defense.

Note, the calls are starting for Boylen to be fired. His scheme does not seem to be working with this group of players and the "step forward" that Bulls Management had expected is not happening.

I liked Boylen last year and had hope for the team this year, but am beginning to think Boylen is like another Cartwright. A solid assistant who is not cut out for a head coaching job.

The Bulls have the wrong people taking the wrong shots. Coby White shooting .367 fg% (.325 3pt%) is second only to LaVine in field goal attempts per game. Satoransky at .446 fg% and .443 3pt% is 7th in field goal attempts per game on the Bulls.

Wendell Carter at .569 fg% has to beg the coach to run a play for him now and then. Some of the onus has to fall on Boylen for that.

In Boylen's defense, the Bulls bigs crew is poor. They have no interior defense, and are getting out-rebounded and outblocked consistently. Over the past several years they gave up Noah, Gibson, Mirotich, Lopez, and Portis. And replaced them with 6-8 220 lb Thaddeus Young. That is on Gar-Pax, not on Boylen.

Obviously, Gar-Pax deserve their share of the blame. I am not sure why those two seem to have so much job security.

The poor performance is a symptom of Boylen. Boylen is a symptom of Gar/Pax. Gar/Pax is a symptom of Reinsdorf. The flow of blame moves up. The ultimate problem is loyalty. Same issue with the White Sox front office (which if you didn't know... Reinsdorf also owns). Jerry is way too loyal to GMs, regardless of if they're good or awful, and team performance/progression ultimately takes a massive hit because of it. If you're a GM under Jerry.... you pretty much have a lifetime contract. This is why GM's love him and fans hate him.

There was a lot of talk about this on Chicago sports radio today. Both the host of the show and the callers were all saying something needed to change. The point was made that Paxon may be untouchable but there might be some weakening of support of Gar Forman. However, Paxon was then quoted as saying Forman's job is absolutely safe.

That was a good win against the Pistons tonight. The team may be pulling together and starting to get comfortable in specific roles. I admit it help playing team that was not playing very well, but it was a fun game to watch. This may have been one of the best games I have seen Zach LaVine play. Add solid games from Kris Dunn, Lari, Wendell and Tomas and you have a good team. Then have Coby White playing off the ball and hitting great shots and you have great team (at least for tonight).

Wow, I have almost completely stopped watching the Bulls at this point. The Bucks, Jazz, Celtics, Mavericks, Pelicans and Pacers have all beaten the Bulls in recent weeks.

I had thought the Bulls were coming together and that there was hope of a playoff run, it it really looks like a sad delusion at this point.

Wendell Carter Jr is out again, so at least we should see Gafford get some minutes. I also like watching some of the other individual players, but as a team the Bulls are pretty poor right now.

That was so pathetic game from Markkannen. He should definitely stop trying to hit so many 3s.

Default There is hope!!!

Arturas Kornisovas is now running the Bulls.

John Paxon is an "adviser".

Gar Foreman is gone.

The Bulls are actively looking for a new GM.

Hopefully a new coach is next.

There is hope!
