I'll be the first to admit I slept on this guy. I think he's going to be very, very good though. He has nice shot mechanics, and with some work during the offseason, I think he can develop a consistent 12-15 foot jumper and become a 15 point, 12 rebound type of player. Most importantly, though, is that the dude is straight up wild and nasty. I can see him being a high performer and fan favorite for years to come ("The Big Kiwi").

I couldn't believe he's only 22. A razor would help him look his age. His play has impressed me though.

Probably not. Dellavedova had a good playoff run last year, and that didn't translate into All-Star caliber play this year. Ryan Anderson had a good series last year too (or the year before?). Patty Mills from SA had a few good games over the last few years.

Sometimes the right series is ripe for the right guy to come up big. More often than not, they don't produce at that level the following year.

It could happen, will wait and see.

Adams was a lottery pick who currently starts on a top NBA team. Dellavedova was undrafted and comes off the bench. Not comparable.

Besides, there are a long list of guards way better than Dellavedova. The list of big men in the NBA, especially true centers, that are better than Adams is comparatively short. There's no way Delly is ever making an All-Star team while Adams, with some improvement on the offensive end, seems to have a shot.

I don't see it, not without a huge jump in consistency

He might have a shot, but the list of centers that are better than Adams? Um, that's actually a long list...here's just a few that are better;

Anthony Davis
Demarcus Cousins
Serge Ibaka
Deandre Jordan
Marc Gasol
Lamarcus Aldridge
Dwight Howard

and that's just a few. He's a good player and should definitely improve. But he's got a long way to go, especially in the loaded West before he makes an all-star team.

I said "comparatively" short. Most of those guys are over 30 and won't be competing for All-Star roster spots against Adams who is only 22. Kyrie Irving, John Wall, Isaiah Thomas, Jeff Teague, etc. will be locking down All-Star spots for many seasons to come. The League is guard rich but it's not Big Man rich at all. I could see Adams making a roster within the next 2-3 seasons.

Yeah he might be, he had a good run in the playoffs and like you mention he is young.

It is a very short list, but he will have to improve his offense and I will assume he will being only 22. He has no fear either which is huge.

As a fellow Kiwi, I'll be rooting for him and like the nickname "Big Kiwi".....

If he keeps his nuts away from Draymond Green, definitely!

But seriously, I was really impressed with this guy although I hated him during our series. Him and Kanter were beating us up. Both of those guys are some of the best young centers in the game.
