Anyhow, I like the idea: If you cant outscore the Warriors, maybe you can beat them to death inside. I know this doesnt make NO the team to beat in the West, but I like that they are trying something different.
Even though 3-point-shooting is the trend of this era, Memphis are still very good and they are an interior team.
So I think New Orleans can be a playoff team and maybe a top 4 team (not this season though).
Plus they might get some perimeter scorers like Korver.
3-point-shooters will probably like the idea of playing with twin towers.

Check out this article about Cauley-Stein written before the Kings played last night: Willie Cauley-Stein plans to step up in DeMarcus Cousins' absence | Lexington Herald-Leader

And then he goes out and drops about 30 points...plus 3-4 other guys play well.

Good for him. Ironically I saw him play in highschool but it was a football game not basketball lol.

He was easy to pick out on the field playing WR.

That is good...but can he become 20/10 every night?

Poor Clippers, they got a rude awakening the other night.

One of those teams that had a chance to win it all a few seasons ago, but that window of opportunity has long gone. The problem is that other teams have gotten even stronger and not a one trick pony.

The only way Paul will get a ring is by going to another team in a lesser role probably.

That window sure did close fast, didnt it? In 2014, they blew a golden opportunity to go up 3-2 on OKC in the West Semis, and, of course, no need to mention what they did with Houston a year later in the West Semis...

Pelicans 0-3 with Cousins...if the Nuggets beat the Twolves it's over for this year. They aren't making up 4 games with only 22 to go.

And now Cousins gets a 1 games suspension for picking up his 18th tech. Is this guy mature enough to anchor a good playoff team?

That remains to be seen. However, I am interested in finding out since he now has a change of scenery, and another fellow All-Star. Will he put in the work to make it work?

I admit I will be watching with interest for the next year or so...
