Maybe I was only paying half attention... did the Pelicans win the one game without Cousins in the lineup - and lost all of other games when he played?

He can say all day long"I'm not gonna play here" and threaten to not show/force a buy out, like bogut, or like dunleavy in Atlanta. Doesn't have any bearing on the trade if both teams agree to a trade. The pels or any other team are fully aware that he could say ********* im not playing, they took the risk.
But that's a moot point because your ridiculous argument is that cousins CHOSE to get traded to build a super team in New Orleans, and you know it's a ridiculous argument so you're trying to divert and distract.

And you actually think any team is trading for a guy that lets it be known he doesn't want to play for that team? You must be joking. Cousins is a superstar...not some bum scrub that will clean toilets for a roster spot anywhere. LOL @ thinking he had no influence on what was going on.

Keep telling yourself that you know anything about the NBA, it's clear you don't.
Pull your head out man, you don't know what you think you know, it's been shown many times on many topics.
your argument is like saying pau requested a trade to the lakers. or like chris paul had a say when he was traded/not traded to the clippers/lakers.
players dont get to pick and choose where they get traded. some land in great situations, others dont. only a very select few actually get to say "no im not going to be traded"

free agency is a totally different situation.
No team is giving up major pieces for a superstar that won't be happy.
I guess you also think Melo had no say in where he was traded?

You have reading comprehension issues.
As I mentioned earlier (but you can't seem to grasp) melo, dirk and the now retired KG are the ONLY 3 players in the NBA with "no trade clauses!"
Damn you really DONT understand the business of basketball

Which is itrelevant to my point. What team is trading for a player that won't be happy playing for them? You really think trades involving superstars are all backroom deals with no input for the players or their agents? Heck, AD wasn't even being traded but he could've likely killed any deal had he desired.
