Clean block by Green and Harden gets the call. Antoni acting upset and inside he's just happier than snot. Half of the Rockets score (90) is 3 pointers. Antoni acting shocked someone got a cheap call on Harding that Harden usually collects on.
I didn't like the way the Spurs ended the season throwing games away. They just haven't looked playoff ready. I don't think I've ever seen so many 3 point attempts much less made. Houston isn't likely to stay that hot. It's a hard road the rest of the way.
He doesn't want them to see a sign of life when they're only 30 + points down. Spurs will have a hard time living this one down. I think Pop's coaching days are waning.
Graphic said this was the worst game 1 playoff loss of Pop's career.
That was embarrassing to say the least.
Just one game, but still, that sure set the tone for the rest of the series!
Spurs just have too many holes. David Lee shouldn't be starting a playoff game at this point in his career, and Gasol is too old. Parker is also done as a difference-maker, ditto Ginobili. Even if they come out of this series looking better, I think some major cracks have been exposed tonight.
Yes, very embarrassing. The Spurs didn't come to play for sure. It is just one game though and you know how the playoffs can swing. I would keep Dedmon in as a starter. I would have benched all the starters in the first 5 minutes of this game. The Spurs have been "too old" before. They played great to beat a really good Memphis team. They'll either snap out of this bad dream or they'll simply fade away.
Davis and Barkley are making great observations on the Toronto/Cavs game tonite, something I have been pointing out even before the playoffs started.
And that is, Toronto showed fear tonite and were intimidated by the Cavs. Which all goes to what I've been saying about these Cavs. They have that psychological dominance over their opponents, just like Jordan and the Bulls used to have.
