Celtics and Lakers with the #1 and #2 picks. Smells like a conspiracy! j/k

Celtics are the first team with the #1 pic after finishing first in a conference since the Lakers when they drafted James Worthy.

The Celtics are a well run organization. They have the #1 pick, are in the ECF, have a nice core, and have more picks to come from the big trade with the Nets. That trade with the Nets has to go down as the worst/best trade ever, depending on which side you were on.

I think it's a given that the Celtics pick Fultz and Lakers pick Ball. I also heard that Ball might ONLY work out for the Lakers. So what if by chance, the Celtics deal the pick to a team who prefer Ball over Fultz?

Fun time to be an NBA fan if you want to see the Celtics/Lakers rivalry flare up again (hopefully).

Great post.

Lakers dodged a HUGE bullet with that lottery pick, otherwise losing it AND another first rounder.

I don't see this flaring up any rivalry anytime soon. Celtics are adding to a good squad, Lakers are just trying to get some pieces and are still years from the playoffs and have to give away next years #1 pick while the Celtics are I believe still owed picks from other trades.

My team's out of it so no expectations really. I agree Ball will go to LA (no team in the top 5 would pick him with that baggage otherwise). I'm interested in who the Sixers choose.

I don't think people realize how big a bullet the Lakers dodged yesterday. Had they not gotten top 3, their rebuild plans could have been extended 3-5 years EASILY. This is why some think it's a conspiracy, since most can agree that the NBA is exciting when the Lakers are relevant. If they can pick up a superstar somehow they will be back faster than we think.

Celtics are gonna be stacked in the coming years and are just waiting on Lebron to slow down.

I'm also interested to see how the Lavar/Lonzo Ball thing works out with Luke Walton. That should be interesting.

Lets pray for comforting for whoever Philly drafts, as they will be missing their First year due to some sort of freak injury, following the Philly tradition lately.

Lakers seem to be quietly stacking talent at a time when the Warriors and Cavs will dominate for the next few years (no point trying to compete). Ball, Russell, Ingram, Clarkson, Nance, Randle...all under 25. It'll be interesting to see how they'll do in 2-3 years. I won't be shocked if they're a 50 win team.

I have this coming season or next for the Lakers to make the playoffs...looks like it could be 18-19.

It was crucial keeping this pick, I just hope Lonzo doesn't turn away older talent with his me attitude.

Does Lonzo have a me attitude or is it just Lavar?

Lonzo is probably a pretty chill guy. His dad is just using the Mayweather method of building a brand. Every time I hear his dad talking I think they might as well hire Floyd to speak for the family. I bet the dad is a huge fan.

Well his dad causes enough distraction to spill over. Weird...goes beyond what anyone typically has witnessed at a professional level.

If you take a look at society - this probably just the beginning.
