Blake Griffin to resign 5 year contract with the Clippers for $173 million. They need someone to put butts in seats and it's not going to be DJ. Let the point forward run begin...
Honestly, if I'm the Cavs, I'd stay put in the East. The one guy you were looking for has went out West. Let the Rockets, OKC, Spurs, and possibly even Minny wear down the Warriors. With all these trades going on in the West, things are actually looking brighter for the Cavs. Try to retool your bench and run it back if it's to be Lebron's last season in Cleveland.
Any move Cleveland makes now with Love isn't likely going to move the needle. Heyword or Millsap aren't going to get you any closer.
Another star (perhaps the 2nd or 3rd best player) from the east heads west. LOL. Pretty soon Isaiah Thomas will be the 2nd best player in the east.
Westbrook, George, Kanter, Adams...should be fun.
Seems like stars wanting to win would realize that building a superteam in the east is a far easier path to the finals...take out the Cavs in '18 and you probably make the finals 2-3 consecutive seasons. For example, a team with George, Wall and Beal might be able to do that.
How is Jimmy Butler allowed to wear number 21 for the Timberwolves? That's Garnett's number.
