Here's the way I think this went down. Dolan tells Phil you have full control of the Knicks. Dolan signs Phil. Phil hates Carmelo, AKA the boat anchor, IMHO. Dolan tells Phil you DO have full control of the team BUT with the exception of Carmelo cause I need to sell tickets! Dolan forces Phil to resign Melo. Phil thinks, OK, owner tells me one thing and then ties one hand behind my back. Guaranteed $60mil, let's have some fun! Over and out!!!
