Been hearing this **** for about a decade. Because of course EVERYONE wants to play for the lakers....except no they don't.

Hopefully most of the kiddos that used to moan over these threads are now Golden State fans so that's all good as well.

So, does anyone here see Lebron Joining LA this off-season or is it yet another ploy to sell season tickets and skyboxes to a team that may barely crack 30 wins.

I doubt it. He has more control in Cleveland, and they finally brought in some guys who can play defense. They'll have more offensive (and defensive?) potential when Love gets back. Plus he can sleepwalk his way through the east and just prepare for Golden State in the finals.

I doubt he wants to team up with Thomas again, who apparently can't play defense. Lakers have given up 117 pts/game since the trade (compared to 109.9 season average). Cavs have given up 104 (compared to 109.6 season average).

I actually don't care if LeBron comes to LA or not.

My nephew is a cop in LA and he actually pulled over LeBron's mom for speeding. Once she told him who she was, he verified it, then he gave her a warning saying she can thank Kevin Love for only getting a warning since he is a diehard UCLA fan.

LeBron's mom's response was, "Are you a Laker fan?" He says yes. She then said, "Well my son will sign with the Lakers when he becomes a free agent."

She was already out from getting a ticket so she didn't have to say that. This happened about a year ago, before I ever heard any rumors of him possibly signing with the Lakers.

There’s no reason for him to join the Lakers unless he really wants to play near his home in LA. Basketball wise it would be a complete downgrade in every way and doesn’t make sense; he’d be better off with Doc and the Clippers.

If he wants rings then he should just sign with Golden State!

It doesn't really matter who's on the Lakers roster right now as GM James would come in and change it however he wants anyways.

I think LeBron's biggest motivator will be getting 3 more rings to equal Jordan. LeBron turns 34 in Dec 2018. The Lakers don't have enough of a foundation for a super-team, and Lebron doesn't have time to sit around and wait for them to build one.

I would say it's 50/50 right now... The Cavs made some nice upgrades to the current roster. If they get to the finals again he is most likely going to stay in Cleveland. If they do not i believe he will look at the Lakers. If he truly wants to GM a team the Lakers are the best place to go because they have the most money to spend.
