If Milwaukee doesn't win a title, than he's out of here.
Haven't seen a player this dominant since prime Shaq
I don't see that happening at all. Milwaukee is getting better and better with each year. I don't see him leaving that situation to go somewhere else and it doesn't pan out. Milwaukee is winning, he loves the team, he loves the city, his whole way of life is Milwaukee..he bleeds Milwaukee. The Bucks have the money to give him and pretty much it's Giannis's team. Lastly, he's HAPPY!!!!... Nah I don't see him leaving that and NBA exes and front office people know that he's likely to stay where he is. It's expected that he's going to resign with the Bucks.
I don't care much for the Philly roster as it stands, but I was thinking that if the Bucks meet the 76ers in the playoffs, that is the one team that might be able to slow down Giannis. Lots of length/muscle on the Philly team. I think if you slow down Giannis, you probably beat the Bucks.
Bucks screwed up by losing Brogdon, and not bringing in more shooters over the past several years.

The 76ers are New York Knick level terrible on the road, & there's no way the Bucks won't have home court advantage over them. 76ers 1st have to worry about getting past the first round in the playoff at Miami or Boston. Like last year, the Raptors with Marc Gasol are the biggest threat to the Bucks.

It took until last night for the Bucks to have their first loss without Giannis playing. They're now 5-1 when Giannis is out. Their supporting cast is better than people think. This team is more than Giannis.

This team is loaded with shooters. Middleton is playing very well this season. Pretty much any player on their roster is a strong 3 point shooter . . . Ersan, George Hill, Wesley Matthews, Lopez etc. Bledsoe's a strong slasher. They brought in Kyle Korver last off season, & recently Marvin Williams. Plus, they have 5 players ranked in the top 10 defensive ratings.
What team would Giannis go to that is better? Bucks are 46-8. And Giannis barely plays 30 min each night, yet is putting up MVP numbers. This team is built so well around him & nobody in the NBA can touch him. I'm so tired of ESPN & other media talking about Giannis going to Toronto, Golden State, Miami etc.

I think what people fail to realize is that winning a championship in the NBA is not really as dependent on what the superstar does as much as people think. A championship team has to have that SECOND guy make a big leap. Jordan kept getting beat by the Pistons until Scottie Pippen made the leap. Shaq and the Lakers were getting swept in the playoffs while Kobe was shooting airballs. When Kobe made the leap, then hello three peat.
The problem here is that I look at Middleton and Bledsoe, and they look like the same players to me that they were last year. Essentially above average role players. Plus both of those guys are either in their late 20s or early 30s (not sure), so they are what they are at this point in their careers. I would honestly feel much better if both of those guys were your third option rather than second. Because when the playoffs come, teams are going back to that wall and clamp down on Giannis. Then he will need someone else to step up and carry the team for stretches at least. Neither one of those guys strike me as the one to do that.
And that to me is one of the hardest pieces to find. That second guy who can fit in playing under the superstar, but then step up and take over when needed. Think Kobe, or Kyrie with the Cavs. Too many teams get a second guy who is either a horrible fit with the superstar (think Ben Simmons) or is just not interested in being no. 2 (Bad Kobe with the Lakers). It's just very hard to do, and I dont think the Bucks have found that guy yet.
Which is why I agree with the poster who lamented losing Brogdon. I think he could have been that no. 2 guy. He was developing steadily (look at what he's been doing in Indiana) and he already had great chemistry with Giannis. Way better than Bledsoe. I would feel VERY comfortable with Giannis, Brogdon and Middleton.
For right now, teams are happy to let the Bucks rack up easy wins. You think Kawhi is worried about losing in the regular season to the Bucks? But come playoff time, it's going to be interesting what happens.

I think Middleton could be that guy. He's exploded in a few games. Agree with you about Bledsoe. He's just not a good fit. Streaky at this point in his career and he's 30. George Hill is even older(33). So who do you have left that will step up? Maybe Donte DiVencenzo? I'd say let him loose and see if he wants to step up more during the rest of the season.
If Giannis is hitting that short to mid-range jumper then it's over. No wall or Kawhi is stopping the Bucks this year or next. Philadelphia is still not a threat to Milwaukee.

Have to agree with you. As long as 2nd and 3rd fiddles step up. No star can do it alone.
He must for them to have any chance of competing in the playoffs. Toronto still look like they got the recipe to stop Giannis. Middleton came through this time. He has to repeat this in the playoffs.
