This is a popular topic on here, isn't it...? I ask this question rhetorically all the time, but again, I've found that the best thing you can do is to check out all the activities that the parish park commission puts on, and see what sort of events or leisure classes LSU and BRCC have going on. It's a difficult town to make solid friends in, but it can be done. Good luck!

go to an LSU game. Whether you are a fan or not the experience is incomperable. So much fun.
Aside from that I guess check out osme of the museums or osmething. I only lived in BR till I was 5, and then moved to Lafayette. Baton Rouge used to be pretty boring when I used to visit it.

VERY UNTRUE. I get so tired of people saying there is nothing to do-open your eyes and pick up a Fun section in the Friday paper and you will see. Also, 225 Magazine is loaded with inofmation about upcoming plays and cultural events here in Baton Rouge along with great weekend activity ideas. There are also many festivals in and around Baton Rouge happening all the time. Google festivals in south Louisiana and see how many there are. Also, downtown has all of the Historical Places to visit not to mention the Louisiana Stae Museum and State Capital. Take a walk around LSU lakes or head to Perkins Rowe for a nice dinner on a patio and a movie. Plantation tours are withn the hours drive, those are always great. The Farmer's Market on 5th and Main every Saturday from 7-1 is alays a great time espeically on the first Saturday whne there is music. There are many great things to do in this town, things don't just jump out and you, you need to look things up and you will see! If you like Astromy the Highland Road Observatory has viewings and science discussions every Friday Night. I love it here. Where I used to live was in Florida and talk about nothing to do!!!!

Caa , that was my attempt at sarcasm . I was just through having this argument with somebody else , where I told them that I was tired of hearing people say that there is nothing to do in B.R.

I had even considered that it might be a troll post due to the timing of it , and the fact that it was the op's first post .
