A wine buffet (purchase, price, food)

Okay, I tried something new-to-me last night -- it was great fun.

I was invited to a wine tasting so when I drove up and found DeAngelo's Pizzaria I was a bit put off. A wine tasting at a pizza joint? Well, I learned that it wasn't a typical wine tasting -- it's a wine buffet. And, it's exactly what it sounds like: a bar with bottles of wine all lined up for you to try. There's a fellow behind the bar that will walk you through the selection and help you find something you like or you can just go at it on your own. Once you find one you like, keep going back for more. Cost? About $10 plus the purchase of an entree.

We had a great time. Not fussy just decent wine, great food and a fun pizzaria atmosphere. Give it a try. Thursdays, Lee and Highland, from 6 until 10.

we've gone to the one in Dutchtown several times. I would also mention that for those of "finer" tastes, that Flemings is doing wine nights on certain days the rest of the month. A bit pricer, as would be expected.
