What about Mid-City South, specifically around the Lovers Lane area? Is this a moderately safe area?

The biggest problem with Lover's Lane (and, actually, a lot of the blocks between North and Government) is that they streets are used as thru-streets for people driving from one to the other. The other problem is that it varies on a street-by-street basis. Some of the apt complexes are well-maintained and have great tenants, some get a fair amount more sketchy.

Anything maintained by Southland Properties is eventually going to attract scum.

There's a good number of vagrants, but, they mainly keep to themselves.

I've got a set of friends who live on Lover's Lane, and they're quite happy with it.

Thanks a lot for the info. I may rent a house there, but want to check it out further first.

Thanks again!
