Hello all!!

I will be relocating with the hubs to the BR area for his schooling at LSU and we are looking for either a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment. The internet hasn't been much help. I'm finding that the apartments are very expensive or income restricted. We don't need granite counter tops and whirlpool tubs, just a safe place to live that is managed well. Suggestions??

I don't really want to spend more then $1000/month. We are currently debating whether we want more space and less amenities or vice/versa. We defintely want quite! And we are unfamiliar with traffic patterns as well. I will be working at one of the hospitals up there (currently interviewing so the exact location is TBD) and my husband will be in school. Thanks for any advice!!

I'd recommend Evergreen at Coursey Place, at the intersection of Coursey Boulevard and Hickory Ridge Boulevard, but it may be out of your price range if you want a larger apartment. It's very quiet, and extremely well managed. I loved living there and the neighborhood is great. The commute between that area and LSU, however, is not great. It's okay if you work there in that area and school's out, but if LSU's in session, prepare especially for an annoying afternoon commute. The neighborhood was worth it to me, though.
