Hi Everyone,
I'm super excited to move to BR! I have some general questions as I'm from Virginia...not the deep south. I've been to Texas and loved it so I thought Louisiana would be cool too. However, after reading some of the posts about the city, I'm a little worried. I'm a black guy with a wide range of friends, from white, asian, latino/a, gay, straight, whatever. I was worried about how to deal with race relations there. I read in some posts that the black people are sometimes mean to white people and vice versa. Is that true? Will people of my own background look down on me for maybe hanging out with white people or people of different races. Also, where are the best places to live?
