We are still investigating neighborhoods for a possible move later this summer. As I poke around online I keep finding lovely houses in the Riverbend Subdivision. Is this a nice, safe, neighborhood. The location seems good being close to LSU. Our budget is 350k-500k. We are looking for a centrally located, established neighborhood, and we have a toddler, so schools will be a factor in the coming years. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Had a friend who lived near the front of the subdivision and he hated it. Loud music and suspicious looking people walking along Brightside. He said he wished he lived in the back of the neighborhood.

I didn't ask him about flooding though. I THINK that area floods but not 100% sure.

It does flood. I'm not sure if it's enough to damage the inside of your house, but it's enough to where streets are difficult to drive on and your yard will look like a lake.
