Hello, all.

I'm moving to Baton Rouge in about 10 days, and want to rent an apartment in a nice area of South Baton Rouge, with a low crime rate. I don't have kids, so that's not an issue, and I'd like to live somewhere that has a lot of young professionals and few college students. I've looked at a lot of reviews online, and the problem is that people usually only go out of their way to post negative reviews, and the positive ones are always suspect, of course. Some of the places that I'm considering are:

Oakleigh Apartments

Indigo Park Apartments

Terraces at Perkins Rowe

The Park on Bluebonnet

I know that some of these are pretty expensive places... I don't mind high rent, but I'd at least like to get my money's worth. Does anyone have any info on any of these places, or could maybe suggest some other places in South Baton Rouge?

There's a couple near Towne Center. I can't remember the exact names this early in the morning though.

I suggest Perkins Rowe if you don't mind the expensive rent.

DONT live at Oakleigh (those are nasty) and DON'T live at Indigo (thosearee right next to a dangerous ghetto known as Gardere). Park at Bluebonnet is nice but if you lived at Perkins Rowe pretty much everything you need is within a 100-200 yard walk.

Can anyone suggest an apartment complex in South BR that I didn't name? I'd really like to know where I want to look at before I get down there.
