I am going to work for LSU. My wife and my new-born daughter go with me. Because they are staying at home for most of time, I would like to rent an apartment in a nicer community where they can enjoy their daytime . I found most upperscale communities are around Bluebonnet, Airline and further south. Can anyone suggest me such a community near LSU, preferably on a LSU bus route?

Try The Crescent at University Lakes, Indigo Park, and Oak Brook Villiage.

Annie makes good suggestions!

I'd like to add Victory Commons and Fieldhouse Condominiums. Both of these are on Nicholson Drive, just north of campus. On the bus route, but actually within easy walking distance. Also, Three Thirty-Three Lofts on East Boyd Drive, which is near the bus route, and also within walking distance.

There's the 8-story building on Nicholson just south of campus as well. Don't know the name however.

Southgate Towers is the name. It's a good apartment community off of Nicholson Dr. Southgate Towers has pools, a cabana, a nice clubhouse with business center, covered parking, elevators, pet park etc. It is off the Tiger Trails Bus Route.

Hope this helps!

I've heard bad things about Southgate...very cheaply constructed. Expensive though. On the bright side, it does have good amenities and is very close to campus.
