We are relocating to Baton Rouge from Little Rock, AR for a job offer my husband couldn't refuse. We have never even been to Louisiana before we made the trip down for his interview. Now I have no idea where to even start looking. Any suggestions would be helpful! We are just looking for an apartment or town-home to rent for now. We have a three year old so, although, school isn't too big an issue right now it will be pretty soon so I would like to be in an area that has a decent school system, either public or private. We had a friend mention something about Greenwell Springs area? But I'm not even sure where that is so....back to square one. Also, I will be staying at home for a little while at first so any areas were I don't have to travel to far to get to the store or something would be great and somewhere I feel safe walking around in since I dont even know the "bad" spots to stay away from like I do in Little Rock. I don't even know if my expectations are realistic. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Greenwell Springs I assume is the Central area. The rental market in the burbs aren't as great as in Baton Rouge.

Do you want to be able to walk around in a urban area or a suburban-esque area like West Little Rock? You can look anywhere in south Baton Rouge around Bluebonnet, Perkins, Essen, Seigen, Highland, and Jefferson.
