Hello all. I'm a single, educated, health conscious man, politically liberal, handsome (yeah, I think so ) atheist Black man looking to meet single, educated women in Baton Rouge. I'm in my mid 30s. Where are some good places to meet such ladies? Race isn't important.

I usually meet them organically. I've never thought of a place or event in which my main focus is to meet women. I would just suggest more social events.

I don't have ideas for specific events but you can check http://225batonrouge.com/ for different events around the area.

Yes, in BR, you pretty much have to rely only on social events. It was very frustrating. I didn't have much luck otherwise clicking with random educated single women in BR. There weren't many happy hour or other hang out spots after work that I knew of where they hung out. I was mainly looking for single, educated black women in their mid 20s and the crowds at those spots were either too old or too young. I met a few educated single women around my age while taking BREC tennis classes and playing in a few local USTA tennis leagues. BREC offers many other recreational classes that you can take where you can meet women. I also met a couple through Happy's running club in downtown BR.

I didn't really know about Meetup.com back when I was living there but you may be able to find some meetup groups where you can meet and socialize with some. Good luck man

Thanks, I appreciate that. Yeah, I'm familiar with Happy's Running Club and I may give that a shot. I workout at the Y and there are a few women around. Later.
