Depending on a job offer, we may be moving to or near the Baton Rouge area. The job would be located about 40 minutes south of Baton Rouge. Will you please comment on what are some safe places (crime rate, schools, etc.)?

Guessing you will be at a plant in Ascension Parish, it is a safe place with great schools.

I definitely agree with Ascension rather than Baton Rouge. Most of the towns just south of Baton Rouge should be fine. Many people like the Prairieville area. Where are you moving from?

Had friends that liked LaPlace, but no kids.

Most people who work in the area you mention live in Gonzales or Prairieville areas. I would start looking there.

It is. The entire south Baton Rouge is a nice area. Anything east of Nicholson/Hwy 30 and south of I-10/I-12 is a nice area.

Default hi

Hi there, we live near the new Womans Hospital and we live ina wonderful subdivision with families and kids aloing with some younger and older couples. it is close to Prairieville, but you would need to send your child of you have any, to private school the schools in EBR Parish that are public, are not that great! I love it here though, lots to do and wonderful weather!

Hi. We just moved to a new neighborhood close to the new woman's hospital. Where do you send kids to daycare and school? We are not Catholic and all of the other private schools are so expensive.
