I'll be working near here, was looking for apartments or townhomes. Seen a number of places on google but wanted help to minimize parking lot breakins. Targeting rent/note near 700$ only need a 1/1. Me-single quiet anglo mid-40s.

There are quite a few small complexes throughout Mid-City (south of Florida Blvd). Can't remember any of their names but they should be around your price range. The larger complexes seem to attract the most crime. Once you go further south, the less problems you should have.

Seems a lot of availability between the freeways near Sherwood forest. That's my initial target area. Perkins area suggested by others but seems crowded and I don't need fancy granite and fixtures.

Not a bad area, a friend lived in Oaks of Kingsbridge and it was a ok, I lived in Regency Club about 15 years ago and it's just ok, seems a bit seedy now.
