We live in Huntsville, AL and are blessed with wonderful off road greenways for walking/biking. We are planning a for a two week stay in BR soon and I would like to bring my bike. Are there nice greenways in BR?

I am aware of a nice one on the levy from downtown to LSU. Anything more?

I envy you. BR is a very pedestrian and bike unfriendly city.

The levee from downtown to LSU, as you mentioned, is nice. City Park between LSU and the Garden District is nice as well.

I do recommend the Tammany Trace trail as it sounds like it's more up your alley. It's about 27-28 miles in length and goes from Covington (a 65 mile drive east of BR on I-12) down to Mandeville and ends in Slidell.

A ride around the lakes is fun too. The northern tip is City Park. It's about 6 miles in total.

Here are some routes from random people: Baton Rouge Bike Trails - Maps of Bike Routes in Baton Rouge, LA
