I'm sure some aspects of it will be completed eventually. However, we should be smart and not get our hopes up. Plans like these only provide some guidance and a snap-shot of what our potential is. Potential and what can realistically be accomplished are two drastically different things.

I can't see us revamping transportation in any big way, and definitely not by rail. It's not cause I don't think it will be successful or good for us. I say it would be very beneficial. However, I don't think we will have ever have the political will for it. Any major improvements in transportation will be an uphill battle imho.

I'm skeptical about the full plan but I'm sure tranportation will improve overall. And I think some areas will be improved but I'm not sure about this city being the next "Austin."

I agree.
What will ultimately change BR in my opinion is a job market that is more attractive to young professionals. Right now, it lacks that. That's not to say you can't be a recent grad and find work here, but you got more options atm in other places. That's what separating BR and Austin atm.
