I'm a young professional in the Baton Rouge area and looking for new things to do to meet people. I'm new to the area and besides going to bars trying to find ways to meet people...any suggestions!!?? thanks!

I'd suggest traveling through to New Orleans or Lafayette.
That is the best thing about Baton Rouge. There are two really cool
towns not far away.

There are a lot of really great things to do here.There are all Your usual Ladies Organizations,Bowling leagues,A lot of new art and related items on 3rd street ,Science Museum and observatory downtown,Growing bike clubs.Tell us a little more about Yourself and somebody will get You more info.Lots of Good people here.Hope You find what You are looking for.Have a wonderful day.

I take offense to your comment! There are plenty of activities to do here, you just need to know how to find them-they aren't going to come jumping out at you! There are the things the other poster said along with Baton Rouge Little Theatre or Shaw Center or Manship Theatre just to name a few for plays and such....bkiking along the levee, picnics at City park or any BREC parks, downtown LASM, Perkins Rowe for a drink, stroll and dinner. Sunday in the Park downtown on Sundays from 12-3 I think. FUN magazine lists about 20 things going on during the weekends here in BR! Also, 225 magazine always has things listed...look and you shall find....
