I know this question has been asked before and I have looked through the forum and found some helpful information. However, I was hoping to get a more specific answer that accompanies my considerations.

I am looking for a one bedroom (preferably with a study/den/loft area) apartment. I will be attending LSU as a graduate student in August 2010, so I will want to be near LSU. However, I will be spending a lot of time at Baton Rouge Clinic, so I will also want to be close to there as well. Because I will be a graduate student, I do not want to live in student housing or near undergraduate complexes because I will need a quiet area.

Also, I am a "small" girl so I look vulnerable. Therefore, safety is a major concern for me.

I will get a stipend of about $1,000/month and I will probably take out some loans as well. However, if I could keep it in the $600-800 price range, that would be helpful.

Here is a list of things that are majorly important to me:

- Safety (so, gated would be nice)
- Washer/dryer in unit
- Pets allowed
- Close to LSU and Baton Rouge Clinic
- Parking availabilities
- Outside lighting

I think that is all for now. Any information that anyone could provide will be very helpful and appreciated! Thank you so much.

Happy Monday!
