My husband is being transferred to Baton Rouge. He will be working at rt. 10 and bluebonnet center blvd. We have 4 children 9 and under and are looking for a subdivision with a clubhouse and/or pool with houses in the upper 300's. Any help would be appreciated. We are from DC area and know nothing about Louisiana. I haven't seen any posts about Christian Life Academy. Is this a good school? Would you recommend any other non-denominational christian schools?

I know that some neighborhoods around Hoo Shoo Too Road have pools and clubhouses, but I think they are in the mid 200,000. I really cannot think of any off hand, but there are some great neighborhoods without those amenities. Try looking at CJ Brown real Estate website. They have a listing of all the subdivisions in Baton Rouge. My child attends a religious school, but I have heard the International School is good and Runnells school too. best to you!

CLA is probably OK, but they are charasmatic, so might have some non traditional beliefs (i.e. tounges, etc) that they will teach in their required religion classes.

ONe of the best schools that is NON denom is Dunham, but it's quite expensive. It's by far in the top 5 schools in the city. THe other is Episcopal, but it's obviously not non-denom.
