Amazing! I looked at our Redmond house on Zillow, which I don't think is totally accurate, and their estimate is over $17K more than we paid for it less than a year ago.

I think the market has picked up to a healthy level. I'm hoping it does not fluctuate too badly from where it is now. From what I'm seeing on my emails, list prices have stabilized and a number of sellers are starting out about 10% too high and cutting it down.

If it goes up much more, katy bar the door, because we're in another bubble.

I have never seen Zillow to be accurate.

now come on whirnot, I have observed zillow to be randomly accurate.. LOL

I do like the recently sold filter on zillow which is a better way to see price trends

Well, the site does say that the margin of error on their "zestimates" is +/- 25%. (!)

That's hedging quite a bit.

Zillow based its estimate on my old house as a 2 bedroom, 1 bath even though the description listed it as a 3/2. Their estimate was about $50K low. After I sold it, they jumped it to nearly $50K more than I got for it. So yeah, seems they're pretty random.

Zillow is definitely weird. Our house value on the site has dropped $6,700 the last month. Next door has gone up $5,500. Ours is a 4 bed ranch on an acre. Next door is a 3 bed ranch on an acre. Go figure.
