What time were you there? Maybe the hours on their website aren't accurate?

I am surprised at the number of Bend eateries that don't open for lunch on Weekends.

I don't typically go out for lunch on weekends, at least not during the normal lunch hours between about 11-2pm. However, there are plenty of places open for lunch. The few restaurants mentioned that were closed are higher end dining.

Places that I know of that are open during lunch downtown and along Galveston are:

The Summit Saloon- Great sandwiches (combined the Downtowner and the Summit)

Alpenglo Cafe- I've only eaten breakfast here, but they also serve lunch

Brother Johns Alehouse-pub food

Deschutes Brewery- pub food

Bend Brewery-pub food

10 Barrel- pub food/good pizzas

Brother Johns Public House - pub food

Victorian Cafe- breakfast and lunch

In addition to these places, I recommend:

Broken Top Bottle Shop off of College and Newport- sandwiches and some pub food. Great vegetarian selection.

Kebabas- excellent Mediterranean at a good price.
