This pineapple express has brought a lot of rain to town over the last few days. A lot for Bend anyway. It's been fun - I miss the rain though....too bad this warm wet front is reeking havoc on the mountain. I skied Monday morning and it was pretty good, but I hear today it's going to rain midday up there

Imagine the snowpack holds most of the rain like a sponge when it is mostly in the 30's at Bachelor?

Looks like cooling and back to snow there in the days ahead, at least mid and upper elevations.

Hopefully the wet pattern continues but is more snow.

Since this is titled Winter 2013/2014 perhaps we can soon put this thread to rest and start Spring 2014. The pros and cons of Daylight Saving Time - discuss among yourselves. I'm getting a little verklempt.

Compare to Average Weather for Bend, OR - Temperature and Precipitation one would be correct to say that the forecast is representative of historical averages.
